The longest operating surf resort in Samoa, Salani Surf Resort is centrally located to the best waves the island of Upolu has to offer. Its claims to fame are its two home waves by the same name: Salani Right and Salani Left. Both are located in front of the resort and are where most of the surfing is done while your there. Both also offer ample opportunities to get the barrel of your life.
Being located on an island means access to year-round surf. While Salani claims it has waves for surfers of all levels, generally speaking, you’re dealing with heavier reef breaks. The backdrop offered by Samoa is nothing short of spectacular and will surely remain etched in your minds-eye for the rest of your days.
Accommodations are low frills but cozy, clean, and each feature an ocean view. There is a restaurant on-site that features fresh and responsibly sourced food. Other amenities include airport transport, air conditioning, wi-fi, laundry services, and filtered water. The resort prides itself on being eco-friendly and plastic-free.
Salani Surf Resort offers plenty to do besides surfing, allowing you to bring your nonsurfing family and friends if you choose to do so. Or, you may just want to enjoy a down day after pulling into barrel after barrel. Non-surfing activities include eco-tours and waterfall excursions, kayaking, culture nights, snorkeling and fishing.
