It offers eight basic twin, double, and family en-suite rooms as well as a community kitchen, pool table, fire pit, and outdoor shower. 3 Pepper is a 3 bedroom house ideal for groups of friends, couples or families. And, 10I Mimosa is a self-catering 3 bedroom home that sleeps up to six people. This also sits just a stones throw from the ocean.

As far as surfing goes, the area is about as good as it gets. Being in the southern hemisphere, it works best during the months of April through October. This is also when offshore winds are prevalent. Supertubes at Jeffreys Bay is the show stopper wave there, but there are plenty of other waves to be had for all levels and abilities of surfers. Waves can also be had in the offseason as well.

Lessons and tours can be booked through JBay Surf Village and Salted Surf School. JBay Surf Village also offers a variety of shops and cafes, a co-working space, a skate park, a kids play area, art classes, a spa, a coffee shop, and more. Being in South Africa, you’re also not far from locations that offer safaris and wildlife tours. Fishing tours both onshore and in the open ocean are available. There’s also a reputable golf course in the area if that suits your interests.
