With its location directly in front of one of the premier breaks in El Salvador, the mission of Las Flores Resort is to provide an experience to match the quality of the world-class wave whose name it shares.

This boutique, 15 room surf resort sits on a 7-acre beachfront property that embodies much of what the Pacific coast of Central America is known for. Tropical forests, singing birds, howler monkeys, palm trees, and cliff sections all add to the experience. The star of the show, however, is Las Flores the wave. When Las Flores is at its best, it’s a 300-yard right-hand point break with a take-off spot outside of the point. Depending on the conditions, it can offer anything from barrels to long, carvable walls, or combinations of both. There are also inside sections for beginner and intermediate surfers to enjoy. To put it simply, it’s a world-class wave and one worthy of a dedicated surf trip.

Las Flores Resort offers a variety of all-inclusive packages and accommodation options to choose from. The resort features two pools, a swim-up bar, a jacuzzi, hammocks, a children’s playground, walking trails, an oceanfront yoga deck, and much more. Amenities within rooms include air conditioning, wi-fi, safes, satellite tv, and minibars. A bathroom kit is also included that consists of organic soaps and shampoos.

While Las Flores is the main attraction when it comes to surfing, there are a number of other incredible waves to choose from in the region. Some of the standouts are Toro de Oro, Punta Mango, Punta Bongo, El Cuco, and Toro de Oro. The resort has a fleet of pangas and local guides to get you to the best waves and conditions possible. Las Flores Resort also has an in-house surf school that offers lessons and coaching for surfers of all levels and abilities. There are multiple sand bottom, gentle waves that are perfect to hone your skills on. Warm water and knowledgeable instructors are a welcome addition to this part of the experience. The surf shop at the resort has everything you could need for surfing including board rental and demos, sunscreen, rashguards, and more. For those who feel like traveling light, Las Flores Resort makes it possible.

Oriente Salvaje Restaurant provides meals at Las Flores Resort. Their menu consists of new American Cuisine and local Salvadorian favorites. The restaurant, as well as the resort as a whole, are committed to being eco-conscious and benefitting the local economy. The majority of the ingredients at the restaurant are sourced from local farmers, fishers, and ranchers. The restaurant overlooks Las Flores so you can watch the waves while you eat. Mango’s Bar and Lounge offers a number of beverage options ranging from fresh juices and smoothies to domestic and international beers, wines, and top-shelf liquors. The all-inclusive packages include three beers or juices per day.

There’s plenty to do at Las Flores Resort when not surfing. Yoga is offered through the hotel. The coastline of Las Flores is known for fishing and the resort makes their pangas available for that purpose. Tours of the countryside, massages, volunteer work to local communities are also on offer. The resort is can also serve as a great location for family reunions, weddings, or yoga retreats.

El Salvador has recently made Bitcoin a legal tender so check with the resort to see if that’s an option.
