This surf resort is located just steps away from the world-class right Punta Conejo. It’s the type of wave you grew up dreaming about as a child, especially if you’re a regular footer. Beyond that, Punta Conejo Resort is also central to numerous other top-notch waves including beach breaks, sandy bottom point breaks, sand jetties, and rock croppings. The wide variety of breaks offers waves for all levels of surfers, short boarders or longboarders, goofy-footers, or regular footers. Local knowledge of conditions needed for each break is key. Punta Conejo Resort offers local guides equipped with 4×4 vehicles that know the waves well. The area is a true surfers paradise.

One thing to note is that the waves are very seasonal at Punta Conejo. The area relies primarily on swells from the southern hemisphere, making the surf season March to October. Because of this, the area is in high demand and reservations at Punta Conejo Resort should be made way in advance.

The resort itself is oceanfront. It’s a single-story Spanish Modern structure that can host up to 14 people at a time. It’s located in the small town of Playa Brasilito, which is just a few kilometers from the port town of Salina Cruz. There are a variety of suites to choose from, all of which can be rearranged furniture-wise based on the size and structure of the group. All rooms have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, DVD/TV, ceiling fans, sitting areas, and private bathrooms. An ocean-front pool and ping pong table are a couple of its other features.

While it’s a surf until your arms fall off location, there is also plenty to do outside of surfing. Stand-up paddleboarding, big game fishing, kayaking, whale watching, horseback riding, and eco-tourism are a few of your non-surfing options. Salina Cruz and other nearby towns offer plenty of cultural, shopping, and dining opportunities. They also offer a nice selection of nightlife options to choose from.

Both the weather and warm stay very warm all year long so pack accordingly and take plenty of sunscreen.
